Great like always.
Old fashioned and affordable breakfast menu. Friendly staff and great service. There's a reason this place is always packed!
Cute place, great ambiance. Our waitress seemed a little stressed. Food was fine.
We had breakfast there and it was delicious! They give nice portions. Not a lot of seating but worth the wait.
Quaint, great food and service.
Oh my word! You have to experience this yourself. The waitress was so friendly. She played a little peekaboo with my son, who was losing interest in his food, as do most one year olds. They had big portions of food and price was affordable! It has an old time charm to it and I think serves as a mini museum.
Daddypops is great! Not only is it the location where PBS39 produces Counter Culture with Grover Silcox, but this places looks amazing, the food and beverages are fantastic, and the owner Ken is awesome. Super interesting people and a super interesting place, go check it out sometime!
There's so much love for this place! The old school feel. The welcoming faces. The food is superb! Anytime we go, they never fail on the French Toast, pancakes, corn beef harsh (that's not overly salty and crisped just right), grits, eggs, UH! I still haven't tasted anything else yet cuz I have to have my regular. :-) So delicious!!! I'm always excited to go back.
This restaurant is absolutely one of the best place to eat in the neighborhood. Always when I visit this place I am incredibly pleased. They manage their very high standard service and the highest level of dishes they provide. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.
Daddy Pops is one the best places for breakfast I have been to in my 57 years of eating breakfast. Pancakes are the best followed by their home fries and corned beef hash. Great service also by their friendly staff.
I regularly come by grabbing some food in here. I loved the quick service and well cooked food. They never disappoint.
Excellent (large) breakfast. Good service. Great small venue. Fair prices. Local. Sometimes difficult to find a table. Very popular with locals.
We had counter seating. Waitress came quick and brought food quickly as well. Pleasant staff. Very full place and busy. Ordered their special: floating eggs (poached eggs) on toast with hash browns. Delish! I recommend it!
Service was excellent food was very tasty, nice atmosphere
Great diner spot. It's seat yourself style and usually there can be a wait. If you go early enough you can get in and out. Nice old school diner feel and was on Diners, Drive ins and Dives.
Just a great place for breakfast. The brioche french toast is amazing. All of the breakfast choices are very tasty. Been a customer since 1991.
Only been there for breakfast. Servings are generous, food is properly prepared. This is a diner, don't come looking for a gourmet experience, just good honest food.
Awesome little diner car, have been going there since a was a teenager.
It was cold inside. Took a while to get served. Waited a long time for the food. It was cold when it came out, and not that tasty. Couldn't seem to get the waitress' attention either. She slammed everything, including our check at the end, down on our table. Oh, we left her a nice tip because that's our way, and it's a quaint looking place both inside and out that we had ridden past often and wanted to try, being avid diners. But now that we have, dont think we"ll be back, because their competition is way too stiff. Pity.
First time visiting. Waited inside for 20-30mins without being acknowledged at all. Maybe get a better system to check ppl in, just so they know what’s going on. “local business” shouldn’t equal bad business.
The food is all talk and no walk; everything is incredibly bland and obviously filled with salt. I've had less salt on my sunflower seeds. Granted, this is the first place I've ever had kielbasa so every time my friends or boyfriend make me go back, I HAVE to get kielbasa! The staff in so friendly but definitely overworked and underpaid. Personally, I feel like they bank too much on being on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dive over a decade ago. The 3-stars are for the vintage decor.
Saw the episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" and this place has been on my radar since! Food was great (I had the stuffed French Toast...see pic)! Service was good! Will be back to try other things on the menu!
Had a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast. I ordered the special, blueberry macadamia nut flapjacks with coconut sauce. It was delicious! Service was just what you would look for at an old-fashioned diner. Great experience!
The food was good. Our waitress was awesome and very nice. & they stayed open past 2 for us since we were still eating. They were really nice!
Would definitely recommend eating here. Exceptional ambience, delicious food, great customer service. 5 stars.
Best breakfast around! The best hash browns you'll ever have!
Great place with good food. Service was good but the line was a bit rough and the place is really small so you might have to wait a bit for a table but food was worth it and the prices are good! Highly recommended
Very good service. Ordered scrambled eggs with hash and corned beef. Rye bread very fresh. Small diner with lots of character and has a home town feel. Parking on the side. Cash only.
My favourite spot for breakfast! The staff are all pleasant and friendly, the food is AMAZING, and their prices are spectacular. It's cash only, but they have an ATM just inside the door. There's often a line out the door for a wait, but the wait is never very long. You seat yourself at the next available booth or seat at the counter. Seasonal specials are always great, too.
Really cute diner, could be a little cleaner especially the utensils. Waitress was great, food was good I'd say a 7.5 /10 for diner food.
Quaint little "old fashioned" dinner. Staff was very pleasant. Portion size was good. I had breakfast, and everything was yummy. Cash only... there is a MAC/ATM machine on premises. I'd definitely go back again.
A fantastic local favorite. With it's unique style and setting for consistently putting out your favorite breakfast and lunch entrees and a cozy friendly atmosphere is what makes everyone coming back. Daddypops has been around for along time and offers one of the best breakfast and lunch item's with a variety of choices to make anyone's visit there a special experience. Feels like home. Wheelchair accessible Through the Back entrance along with parking.
Real scrapple available here....local dinner...people have their own coffee cups hung on the wall. Politics being discussed. Go during the week, the week end there are lines.
This place gets stellar recommendations, but it's only because of the the unique building and atmosphere - nothing more. I have been here 3 times and the food is unimpressive. Especially disappointing is to order fruit with my breakfast and receive what appeared to be very wilted/dehydrated thawed blueberries and strawberries :(The building is small so expect a wait. The place is a little understaffed and the staff I have seen are generally inefficient ... so expect more waitingI'll probably never eat here again simply because there is a better option just down the road (depending on the hour you are looking for food)
Fantastic breakfast. Would be a 5 Star review if they took credit cards.
The staff works very hard and very quick to accommodate people's needs. Food was good as well. There may be a short wait time to be seated, but it's worth the wait.
Best breakfast place around - has been for the last 22 years! Food is very good and very reasonably priced. Great service. Be prepared to wait on a weekend morning - but it's worth it! Bring cash, because credit cards are not accepted.
Nice little classic dinner. Very nostalgic inside with great antiques around. Great prices too!
Very cool classic diner vibe. It's small so it fills up quickly, but tasty classic diner food, I had the sausage gravy and biscuits very good indeed.
You walk in and no one is there to great you or anything like that. You have to wait for a table to open and just grab it before someone else does who just walked in while you have been waiting. After we were able to sit ourselves a waiter asked me if i wanted coffee and handed me a menu. I was sitting with two other people and they did not give them a menu or anything. I said no thank you but can we have three orange juices? The waiter came out and handed me one orange juice and walked away. That's when I got up and walked out and went to tnt diner right up the street and service and food there was great plus off street parking. I even messaged daddypops on Facebook and was completely ignored. If i could give 0 stars i sure as sh*t would.
My wife and I wanted to try this place for the first time and right from the get go it was horrible. The service was terrible she took 10 minutes to bring out drinks, food came out quick but it ended up coming out cold which was weird and she took another 10 minutes to bring out butter and syrup which is why I got irritated was because they got my wife’s breakfast totally wrong and they only have like 10 tables in this place so the waiter had like 3 tables or 4 and still couldn’t get stuff right. I’m not going back
Finally decided to check this Diner out after hearing about it for a few years. A small well used place with an eclectic mix of vintage Americana. We stopped in after the breakfast rush and was able to pick where we wanted to sit (All booths and a counter with a Barber's chair on each end). Looks like they serve breakfast and lunch. The menu has a good selection of choices. We were greeted fairly quickly for coffee and placed our order. Food came out in a timely manner and was very good but we were just about finished eating before we could get a second cup of coffee. Perhaps they were short on help as it was difficult to get our server's attention. We got our coffee and check. This is a cash only place with an ATM machine in the vestibule when you walk in. Parking could be a problem as I didn't see many spots. Breakfast for two without tip was about $12.00 per person.
Incredible value, great food and great people. Fun atmosphere.
Now I see what all the fuss is about. YUM!
I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is yummy and the crew is generous and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we have a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Great food and great staff
The most delicious steak & eggs. Best grilled cheese. Excellent service.
Limited seating but they seem to turn tables quick. Had the creamed chipped beef which was terrific. Home fries are a must, very tasty.
One of our favorite places for breakfast. Terrific food and generous portions. Order the home fries extra crispy and with onions. Yum!
